The Testimony of KSLW LP-FM radio

KSLW radio began in the fall of 2000 with a man by the name of Bob Moore. After our hopes of getting a CSN translator here in Buffalo fell apart, Bob contacted me to inform me that the FCC was granting LP-FM permits in limited quantity, and that if we were interested, we only had 2 weeks to file with the FCC before the window of opportunity would permanently close.

So with the help of our attorney, Eric Kravitz, back in Washington DC, and Bob Moore as our engineer, we raced around for 2 weeks gathering information and filling out form 318 for the FCC. We barely made our deadline with the FCC, and 6 months later we were informed that we had received one of a handful of construction permits being granted by the FCC! That was absolutely incredible, it was like winning the lottery! For God to give our little ministry here in Buffalo Wyoming an LPFM station, we knew that God had great plans for our little community.

It took us nearly 12 months of prayer and saving to get our station on the air. It was very difficult and un-charted territory, as we were one of the 1st Calvary’s to receive an LPFM permit. Even nationally, we were 1 of only a handful of organizations that the FCC had give a permit to, so our trust was completely upon the Lord.

Finally after several months of hard work by many volunteers, lots of money and many mistakes, KSLW ‘The Stream’ was born on Monday, June 17th 2002 at 8 am! The new born cry of the many blessings to come.

To the glory of Jesus Christ, lives have been changed, people have been saved and the power of the Holy Spirit has been poured out upon Buffalo Wyoming through KSLW. What a privilege, and what an awesome responsibility to serve the Lord through KSLW.
